Във втора тема чета добрите отзиви на колегата Димитър Коев за digital tuning чипа.Аз също забелязах че имат решение за моята каляска с R18A2.Честно казано съм доста скептичен към ремапването на 8-ма ген. 1.8.ето обаче нещо което реално е постигнато от колеги в Англия :Apologies for keeping everyone waiting so long. I intended doing this last night but after a hard week I was in bed shortly after dinner. I;m no car critic or journalist so I've written this off the cuff with a million distractions. any questions or points I've missed, let me know!Firtlsy, Thanks go out to the following people.Regan1985 - the thread starter!F6had - Fahad from Premier Tuning being the first point of contact!Dave - Elite Remaps genius! The Bad NewsThe figures everyone has been throwing around werent achieved. In my opinion this was never going to be possible and I volunteered my car under no illusion that it would be a difficult task and I may be wasting my time and money taking part. This has taken Elite every single minute of their time. Within minutes of the car rolling up outside the garage it was being strapped to the dyno. On the second day of them having the car I was in constant communication with Dave about the progress until around 10pm.The Good NewsThere was a gain! 142.7HP went up to 151.2HP at the flyweel.124.1HP went up to 131.5HP at the wheels.124lb.ft torque went up to 134.9lb.ftRev limiter raised by 500I know this isnt a massive amount and even me being sceptical would love to have seen more. But Elite have worked long and hard on this map and to stay within safe boundaries this is as far as we can go.My opinionsI finally got up to Leeds to collect the car on Saturday at around 1500 and Fahad was also there waiting for me. Interested to see how the car felt and what my opinion was we both set off on a quick test drive. Always being slightly anxious about having passengers ( i dont want to boot it round and injure someone) I took it easier than I should have most of the way. We did head onto the Ringroad where I was able to get some speed up though. The car immediately felt better and the torque I missed from driving a Golf TDI had improved. At a moderate speed I was able to put foot to the floor to accelerate in 4th gear and overtake an old dear, which impressed me considering where the revs were low.Back at the garage I said my thankyou's and goodbye's and headed off home. This was the real test! I had a few town roads and then on to the M62 all the way home. after a bit of town driving I was able to be a little more aggressive. Throttle response was sharper and acceleration felt like real progress was being made. On a couple of roundabouts I had to brake harder than usual and after looking down at the speedo I could see the reason why! Before the remap I had a flat spot when negotiating junctions. This is something that never really bothered me and I accepted it as a side effect of the 57i I installed. However this has been cured and I now look back and cant see how I put up with it! There is absolutely no lag in acceleration or flat spots, just smooth acceleration all the way. I stayed outside lane all the way home mainly in CC. The car was able to climb the hills with ease and the only times I slowed down was over the windy viaduct, when it started raining and when some idiot in a Nissan Primera started weaving all over the place. The most noticable difference was later on when I nipped out to the chippy for me and the mrs. Quiet roads and a bit of juice left in the tank! I held it in first gear nearly the full length of my street and the change was phenomenal. This is how the R18 should be!What The Mrs ThinksThe 'service' I had done is great!.....So to summariseThere's been an increase in power and torque. The drive has changed with sharper throttle response and better acceleration. The flat spot I had has gone too! The overall change is a much more lively driving experience. I have the option of reverting back to the original map and a refund but there's no chance of it! I genuinely reccommend Elite Remaps the work they've done to my car. Everyone with an R18 should get this map done. It's never going to touch a CTR so if youre after massive power you bought the wrong car!!! But with the setup I have now I'm more than happy with the performance to cost ratio! There was a chance to get Launch Control added to the map, and Dave still thinks its highly likely but ran out of time. If anyone else wants this map and can afford to lose the car for a couple of days I'd love to see if it can be added. Providing its not going ot be too much of a headache to figure out.
