All Honda models with programmed fuel injection(PGM-FI) have the ability to learn and adjust theengine idle speed to optimize engine idlecharacteristics.The idle learn procedure should be donewhenever you do any of these actions:• Reset, replace, unplug, or reprogram the ECM/PCM• Disconnect or replace the battery• Do engine work that requires R&R of theintake manifold or the throttle bodyTo allow the ECM/PCM adaptive idle speedsystem to learn and adjust the engine idle speed,here’s what you do:• Make sure all electrical items (A/C, audio unit,defogger, lights, etc.) are turned off, then startthe engine.• Let the engine reach its normal operatingtemperature (the cooling fans cycle twice; thecoolant temperature is about 194° F).• Let the engine idle for at least 5 minutes withthe throttle fully closed and with all electricalitems turned off.• If the cooling fans cycle on while doing anadaptive idle learn, add the time the coolingfans are on to the 5 minute adaptive idle learntime.

Thesedays, fuel economy is a serious concern for manydrivers. But squeezing the most pennies fromone’s fuel economy dollar is no easy task. It takessome skillful driving and a vehicle that’s properlymaintained.Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind and toshare with your customers:• Set Correct Tire Pressures - Use an accuratetire gauge to set the tire pressures to therecommended values listed on the driver’sdoorjamb sticker. These values are therecommended cold inflation pressures that arethe best compromise for ride quality, steeringfeel, handling, and fuel economy. Whenreplacing tires, always go with OEM tires,they’re optimized for low rolling resistance.• Use the Correct Engine Oil - A higherviscosity engine oil increases internal enginedrag, and that reduces fuel mileage. Alwaysuse the recommended engine oil for yourvehicle.• Accelerate Moderately and Smoothly -Avoid pressing the accelerator pedalexcessively. Hard acceleration burns a lot offuel. Very slow acceleration keeps thetransmission in its lower gears too long, whichalso increases fuel consumption. Moderate,smooth acceleration gives the best fueleconomy. If the vehicle has an M/T, you canboost your fuel economy by upshifting asearly as possible.• Avoid Stop-and-Go Driving - Anticipatetraffic signals to keep the vehicle’s momentumgoing. AvoidUse the ECON Button (Insight and CivicHybrid models only) - Make use of theECON button. When you’re in ECON mode,and with the A/C running, the Auto Idle Stopfeature is active.• Use A/C Sparingly - The engine worksharder when the A/C is running, and thatreduces your fuel mileage. Turn on the A/Conly when you really need it. If the vehicle hasclimate control, select the warmesttemperature that’s still comfortable.• Reduce Speed - Aerodynamic drag has a bigeffect on fuel mileage at speeds above45 mph. Reduce your speed and you reducethe drag. Trailers, cartop carriers, roof racks,and bike racks are also big contributors toincreased drag.• Reduce Vehicle Weight - Unnecessary itemsin the vehicle add weight. That makes theengine work harder and use more fuel.Remove the stuff you don’t need from thepassenger compartment, trunk, or cargo area.• Use a Block Heater in Cold Weather - Asthe air temperature drops, more fuel is wastedheating up the engine to its normal operatingtemperature after a cold start, and the engineoil is thicker, increasing internal engine drag.Also, at temperatures below 40° to 50°F, fueldoesn’t vaporize properly, so more of it mustbe used for the engine to run properly duringwarm-up. A block heater helps keep both theengine and the engine oil warm and reducesthe extra fuel needed at colder temperatures.• Avoid Short Trips If Possible - The engineuses a lot of fuel to warm up to its normaloperating temperature (about 180°F), and ithas to deal with higher internal friction beforeit does. The shorter the trip, the more fuelthat’s wasted warming up the engine and islost to higher internal engine friction. For shorttrips, try walking or bicycling if you can. If youneed to drive, keep in mind your fueleconomy will drop quite a bit. This isespecially true if you’re making those shorttrips on a cold day or if you’re making them ona hot day and you’re running the A/C toquickly cool down the vehicle. Suchconditions can easily reduce your fueleconomy by more than 25 percent.

  12. ENEOS-NIPPON се води едно от най добрите Японски масла.Exxon/Mobil пък е щатското масло.
  13. Това къде е производството не влияе на качеството.Влияе ако ХОНДА не следят какво купуват от тези с които имат договори. Така че или ХОНДА не следи или тези които им правят частите не ги грее за подновяване на договора.Хонда до скоро беше слаба йената и кво?В китай виж цените на китайските хонди. Ми те все едно в европа ги продават бе ???

  21. NSX/S2000 ги дават от ХОНДА 5W-40. Само тези два модела са с него.Всичко друго е 5W-30 5W-20 0W-20Като в Япония само 5W-40 е синтетика.
